That very much depends on the audience...!
Due to the nature of the show, the audience reaction can alter the length of the performance.
As a rough guide, the show is around 70minutes each half plus a 20 minute interval...but heckle at your peril!
"We saw you swap it out for water"
"Can I smell the bottle?"
"I'd be on the floor after that much...you must be faking it..."
The drinking element of the show is absolutely real!
Our cast members are given the opportunity to choose a drink that they know will get them tipsy (okay, pretty sozzled), but not ill or uncontrolable!
The level of drinking is closely monitored by our Stage Manager to ensure that the frantic fun doesn't stray into a health and safety nightmare.
Usually, the performer who has been chosen to drink will take part in a meet and greet after the show and (if they remember to take it!) you will indeed be able to inspect the bottle!
At the end of most performances, the performer who was chosen to drink will be in the foyer of the theatre for a meet & greet and photo opportunity.
Occasionally this won't be the case - and it would always for a good reason. You might find the cast at the stage door but they'll likely be busy loading the vans before we head off to the next venue!
Some characters in P*ssed Up Panto are double (or triple) cast. This means that we have a pool of performers who work on the show on a rota basis.
The cast often cover other roles within the show so that, in the unlikely event that someone is ill or unable to perform, we can still bring the show to you!
